Abstract

Provides general guidance for the design and installation of a BARC for use with a GPWS. The BARC generates an electrical rate signal from pneumatic pressure supplied by the aircraft static pressure system. The BARC unit is intended primarily for use with ground proximity warning equipment in aircraft that do not have a suitable electrical signal for altitude rate.
