This SAE Standard establishes the symbols, i.e., conventional signs, for use of controls, indicators, and tell-tales of a road vehicle to ensure idnetification and facilitate use.It als indicates the colors of possible optical tell-tales which inform the driver of either correct operation or malfunctioning of the related devices.
