This specification covers the requirements for preparation, of aluminum and aluminum alloy for soldering by zinc immersion pre-treatment followed by copper plating and tin or tin-zinc alloy plating.
This process has been used typically to facilitate soldering of aluminum and aluminum alloy mechanical and electronic instrument enclosures, but usage is not limited to such applications.
