This AIR delineates those factors in which the requirements of hydraulic pumps for use in missiles differ from the requirements of hydraulic pumps for use in manned aircraft. It is intended that this AIR shall alert both the pump designer and systems designer to these differences and thus achieve lighter, simpler and more reliable hydraulic pumps which are particularly suited for missile use.
